Katie Dean

Exercise Physiologist/ Performance Coach

Why do you work at Virtus?

Because Virtus exists to foster positive behaviour change which is what I am passionate about. I love working with like-minded people who also implement holistic approaches to health behaviour and wellbeing.

Who do you specialise in coaching?

Female athletic development, pre- & post-natal exercise, corrective exercise strategies, return to life and sport - end stage rehabilitation (I am completing my masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology). Fostering moderation and sustainable exercise programs.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Just about nothing (I am not naturally a morning person). But in all seriousness, this is the first career out of a few that I genuinely enjoy getting up and going for.

What drives you?

Seeing others get better, feeling accomplished by helping people do so.

What is your 2018 intention for this year?

To continue what works, work on what doesn’t and remain positive in the process.
